About Me


Hi everyone. My name is Louvain, and I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Houston. I'm majoring in Digital Media with a minor in Technology Leadership Innovation Management.


A little bit more about me:

  • I am an active gym-goer and love fitness.

  • I love drinking matcha and boba tea.

  • I have a twin sister.


College


At the beginning of my college journey, I was a bit unsure of what I wanted to major in for my career. However, I have always been interested in going into something creative and involved in video editing through storytelling. So, I chose Digital Media/ Digital Marketing as it combines my passion for being strategic and creative, allowing me to develop imaginative ideas. Now in my second year, I have found appreciation for content strategy and planning out impactful marketing campaigns through my clubs and passion projects.


  1. I'll be the next Vice President for DigiMarketers, which aims to provide members with resources and networking opportunities with business professionals. I'm eager to help with event planning, manage our social media platforms (LinkedIn and Instagram), and other logistics.

  2. I'll also be the Marketing Coordinator for UXCoogs, which is another student-led club that promotes learning about user experience through workshops and tours. My goal would be to create a content calendar and help reel and post stories that promote our events.


Favorite Social App


As a Digital Media specialist, I spend a lot of time on the phone, whether that be chatting with my friends or doom-scrolling on TikTok in my bed. Nevertheless, if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Instagram.


Here's why:

  • The UX/UI interface is user-friendly, making navigating between tasks easy.

  • Allows seamless content creation for my crochet account and clubs.

  • Personalized algorithm based on what posts I like and pages I follow.

  • Connect with friends and former classmates.

  • See real-time analysis of my posts and how they're doing.
