Meeting Hailey George: Communication, Creativity, & Meaningful Connection

Shifts in tone, hidden meanings, and expressions are all of the small things that I pick up on in conversations and what initially struck my interest in communication.

All About Me

Hi! My name is Hailey George and I am a second semester senior at Commonwealth University: Bloomsburg Campus. I am a Communications major with a minor in Creative Writing. Three words I would use to describe myself are organized, independent, and curious. One thing I have learned about communication is that it's not what we say, but how, why, and who we say it to. This one idea is what shapes the entire communications world.

My Interests

From a career perspective, I am drawn toward:

• Social media management prioritizing connection

• Intentional digital communication

• Realistic and creative content creation

My main focus when creating content is making sure there is clarity, consistency, and purpose. It is important to me that my work is visually appealing and creates a strong message for my audience.

Beyond My Resume

On a more personal level:

• I value my independence, but care deeply about the people in my life

• I tend to overthink experiences in a good way

• I am a firm believer in appreciating small moments

• I love connecting and meeting new people

• I am passionate, curious, and eager to continue learning

As I begin to transition into life after graduation, I am both excited and anxious. These last 4 years of college have felt like a ticking time bomb, counting down to this moment. I am confident that in this last semester of college, I am going to learn even more to prepare me for the "real world" especially through this internship.
